    Software Engineering Intern

    I programmed an automated data validator in AWS Lambda that mitigates data pipeline failures reducing downtime by 83%. I developed the Lambda in Python to read S3 and Postgres to determine state and take advantage of existing infrastructure. I invoked two child Lambdas that query Snowflake and OracleDB to leverage a more lightweight and customizable solution. I reduced the time to compare hundreds of records from 3 hours to 5 minutes and alerted the team via email using SNS. I deployed the validator with Jenkins Pipeline, creating a blueprint for future data validation failure cases across Capital One.

    Software Engineering Intern/Co-Op

    I developed Windows Services in C# to parse and clean various forms of data for machines throughout Raytheon Dallas. I used the Splunk Processing Language (SPL) to take the newly cleaned parametric data and manipulate it into meaningful metrics to track average machine performance and equipment utilization to maximize factory productivity. I designed dashboards to display the calculations as graphs and tables in the Splunk Web Application using Simple XML.

    Undergraduate Research Assistant

    I created three-dimensional environments to perform eye-tracking experiments using the Unity game engine and programmed in C# to generate game objects and specify the parameters of experiments. I utilized MATLAB to record data attained by these tests and created a data writer. I analyzed photogrammetric data in MATLAB to better understand the human search fixation and the duration of time needed before taking a step in certain terrains.

    Failure Analysis Intern

    My primary task was to troubleshoot complex electrical components such as CCAs, FPGAs, motors, transistors, and capacitors through the use of electrical testing sent in to the Failure Analysis Lab from all of the Raytheon's Texas facilities. To perform these tests, I used a variety of tools such as the oscilloscope, curve tracer and multi-meter. I was also given the opportunity to demonstrate my C/C++ knowledge and assisted in the development of a new GUI for the lab’s I-V curve tracer in C++. I translated raw data outputs from the Curve Tracer onto a modern interface to improve readability.
